The Summer of Daydreams by Kaitlyn Delong

"Over the summer of 2025, I went to Europe. I was in Germany, by a river filled with people from all different backgrounds and ethnicities playing in the water. I put my towel down and gazed up at a willow and weeping willow for 40 minutes consistently, daydreaming and thinking about the deeper meaning in life. I decided to take a picture to remember the moment. Half a year later, my art teacher told us to create a piece based off the Group of Seven paintings. That’s when I knew I had to create a piece based off this memory." - Delong
